Senior Research Chemist

Diteba Research Laboratories is looking for a Senior Research Chemist to support our pharmaceutical testing group.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Perform UPLC, UPLC-MS/MS, and HPLC testing on pharmaceutical products according to established procedures and SOP's
  • Perform all laboratory duties per GMP and GLP requirements
  • Perform extraction and quantification of drugs from bio matrices
  • Provide technical expertise across the research function
  • Ability to research and evaluate the feasibility of new analytical methods
  • Lead the development and troubleshooting of new analytical methods
  • Modify existing analytical methods to provide new applications/end-use
  • Review and evaluate raw data for acceptability

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • 5+ years working LC/MS/MS experience in a pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical environment
  • Strong method development validation expertise with both small and large molecules
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (five years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
  • Experience with GMP and GLP regulations

Position is permanent full-time, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Mississauga, Ontario are encouraged to apply.
